The Cabot Contra and Square Dance has its first dance of the new year this Saturday, January 10, at the Willey Building in Cabot village, starting at 7:30 pm. The caller for the evening is the talented and versatile Lausanne Allen. Special musical guests Tristan Henderson (guitar, mandolin) and Jason Bergman (fiddle) will join David Carpenter (fiddle) for a special evening of high energy dance music. The more people come, the more fun everyone has--we had a great turnout in December, and would love to see you all again. When the weather is this cold, you need some hot music and warm friends to get through it!

The dances don't involve any tricky stepping, are all taught and are easily learned by young and old, and everyone has a lot of fun--and there are always people who come just to watch and listen, so that's an option, too! The Cabot Old Time Family Contra and Square Dance is held on the second Saturday of the month September through May. The dance series is sponsored by the Cabot Library, and there is a small donation requested to pay the caller and musicians. Everyone is warmly welcomed--please join us!
