Progress and Recommendation of the Town Office Committee

The Select Board’s ad hoc committee for developing a conceptual plan for expansion and improvement of the Lincoln Town Office has moved quickly to formulate a solution that appears to meet the Town’s goals as first discussed in 2009 and revived at a public meeting on September 30, 2014.
The Select Board seeks public response to this conceptual solution that would:
• Expand and reuse existing facilities on the existing site
• Collaborate with adjacent property owners for efficient delivery of necessary utilities (e.g. water, sewer and possibly emergency power) to the extent possible and permittable)
• Improve parking and circulation and handicapped accessibility
• Have a neutral impact on the current property tax rate
• Assure energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact
• Take advantage of currently low municipal bond rates
