Students from the ADL Middle School 8th grade class are raising money for their field trip to Washington, DC this April with Essex Junction Recreation and Parks. Please help them in saving for their trip by gathering your bottles and cans for a Bottle Drive this Saturday, January 3. Students will be collecting these items in Essex Junction neighborhoods between 10am and 2pm; you can also drop off bottles and cans or deposit slips at the Maple Street Recreation Center next week.

Trip participants are also selling calendar raffle tickets and Buy Local Resource Guides. Each day through the entire month of January will feature a different prize, ranging from restaurant gift certificates to jewelry to landscaping services and everything in between - over $2,500 in prizes! One ticket will be pulled each day of the month and winning tickets go back in the hat for the chance to win again! Calendar raffle tickets are $10 each. Buy Local Coupon Books are $20 each, featuring over $3,000 in savings to local, independently owned businesses in Chittenden, Lamoille, and Addison counties. Some of the businesses included in the Buy Local Book: Apple Mountain, City Market, Danforth Pewter, ECHO, Gardeners Supply, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Outdoor Gear Exchange, Petra Cliffs, Vermont Tire & Service, and many more! You may purchase raffle tickets and coupon books from trip participants or at the EJRP office at 75 Maple Street between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday.
