As you make plans for New Year's Eve, consider Burlington's wonderful First Night. There are concerts, dancing, comedy, children's activities, all included in a very reasonable button price of $15. I highly recommend Maple Jam, singing at 6 and 9 pm at the First United Methodist Church on Winooski Ave. How often do you hear close harmony a cappella JAZZ? This is your last chance of 2014!

If you miss that, you should definitely start 2015 out on the right foot. Fortunately, Maple Jam is appearing at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe on Saturday, January 3rd at 7:30 as the first show in their Vermont Artist series. With their trademark rich blend of voices and smooth jazz harmonies, their repertoire ranges from classic jazz, bebop, and swing to sultry tangos and love songs to warm a winter’s night.
