If you live or own a home in southwest Halifax, you can potentially get high speed internet through a VTA grant/project under consideration with the town of Halifax. See the minutes from the last broadband committee meeting for more details (link below). The Halifax Broadband Committee needs anyone with interest in this topic to attend the Halifax Selectboard Meeting on Tuesday, 1/6/14 at 6:30 pm at the town office. High speed internet for this area of town may not happen if no one shows interest. If you can not attend the meeting, please contact a Halifax Selectboard member via phone or e-mail to express your views on the topic, or need/willingness to have the service. It is likely that we would need at least 20 individuals or businesses in southwest Halifax to show interest in purchasing high speed service for the project to move forward.
