Brighton Elementary School will host a KICK-OFF Event for the Year of the Book Grant sponsored by Children's Literacy Foundation. CLiF's Executive Director, Duncan McDougall will discuss all the exciting activities coming our way this year. Mr. McDougall will also discuss the joys of reading and writing and lead a storytelling presentation. Every student will be invited to choose 2 free books to keep from a large selection. Parents, younger siblings, and Brighton homeschoolers are encouraged and welcome to attend.
