CALLING ALL THERAPISTS!! It's a hard time to be a provider right now. We are flooded with questions: How do we provide care when we share our clients' feelings of anxiety and despair? How do we help people find hope? How does the fact that we are in the same cultural crisis as our clients impact therapist disclosure and differentiation? What tools can we give people in the face of perpetually escalating stressors? When do we help clients down regulate, and when do we help them rise? What roles can we play as mental health providers to help individuals, communities, and a nation in crisis? What do we need to consider in terms of our clients' potential loss of access to care, and risks they may face based on information in our documentation? How do we work with clients who may have disparate beliefs but similar fears? And how do we support ourselves, in the midst of this challenging work, to protect our own wellness and avoid burnout? We will address all of this and more in the Caring Through Crisis training at All Souls Interfaith Gathering on Friday, May 2nd. 6 CE hours available for counselors, social workers and psychologists in the state of Vermont.
