"It is in collectivities that we find reservoirs of hope and optimism"
-Angela Davis
Join us each Saturday in March starting March 8th from 1-2:30 p.m. for the Freedom is a Constant Struggle Zine Bookclub. Inspired by the book of the same name by Angela Davis, the group will dive into discussion about time, intersectionality, solidarity and abolition. We find it important right now to come together to explore what each of these words means to us and to find ways we can mold that meaning into action.
It is not required to read Freedom is a Constant Struggle beforehand but we do have access to a free online version if you are interested! We will be using zines to further explore these themes and participants will have opportunities to make their own zines as well. You also do not have to attend every Saturday. If you are interested in attending one, some or all of the meetings please email bquinn@sterlingcollege.edu so we can send you the materials we will be looking at!
