Have you every wanted to make your very own custom garment? Do you want to learn how to extend the life of your current garments? This three part workshop is intended for both someone with no experience whatsoever and and someone who has some experience on the sewing machine, but would like more guidance.
Students can choose from a number of patterns provided or are welcome to email the instructor before class with their project ideas.
Students will be guided through basics such as how to read a pattern, measuring, cutting and basic machine trouble shooting. Instructions on threading their sewing machines and maintenance will also be provided.

The REclaimED Studio has a number of machines that students can use at no extra cost, but if they have a sewing machine they will be using regularly at home, they are encouraged to bring their machine with them. Students in the past have made bags, pillows, vests and pajama pants!
A short materials list will be emailed to students on sign up and students are encourage to look at their clothing and other textiles that are ready to be up cycled in this class.
