This is a re-offering of the excellent workshop that the officers presented in February: Offered by Sgt. Diane Mathews and Detective Alesha Donovan of the Montpelier Police Department, this free workshop will be a basic self-awareness, self-defense class for those looking to keep themselves safe. Dress in comfortable clothing and bring indoor shoes. Activity level will depend on attendees; those with physical limitations are encouraged to attend.
Detective Donovan has been one of MPD's Use of Force instructors for the past two and a half years and Sgt. Mathews holds a fourth-degree black belt in ITF Taekwondo.
