Vermont forester and author Ethan Tapper will be speaking at the Willey Building on Tuesday the 25th at 6:30 about his book How to Love a Forest. The book describes the evolution of his relationship to his own forest from discouragement and doubt that it could ever recover from decades of extraction and mismanagement to the realization that he can help it become a healthy, resilient forest once again. He will also talk about how forests, like floodplains, can help slow stormwater and ease flooding.
Ethan is an engaging speaker and his book is an enjoyable and thought-provoking read. (Learn more at EthanTapper.com) The library also has multiple copies of his book available for anyone interested and for a book discussion this spring.
The program is sponsored by the Cabot Public Library and the Cabot Conservation Committee. Ethan's talk will also be live-streamed and recorded thanks to Seth's Computer. Watch for details on Front Porch Forum
