Free Community Choir on Wednesdays

May 14, 2025, 7 to 8:45 PM

I have the absolute honor of conducting the new Burlington-based choir for an amazing organization: Me2/ Classical Music for Mental Health.

We sing on Wednesday evenings starting at 7pm and wrap up by 8:45pm. Participation is free, no auditions, all ages and all experience levels are welcome! We are currently singing a great mix of classic rep by Mozart, Haydn, and Faure plus some more contemporary works by B.E. Boykin and Jacob Narverud.

Me2/ Music is an organization that combines mental health advocacy with classical music in a series of New England ensembles. For 14 years the Burlington Me2/ orchestra, which is made up of musicians with mental illnesses and those who have family or friends with mental illnesses, has brought free concerts to Vermont throughout the year. This past fall, we have launched our chorus and are looking to cast a wide net as we grow the ensemble. All are welcome to sing, including students, teachers, nurses, doctors, therapists, and anyone who is seeking a stigma-free zone where you can simply show up and be authentically you in a safe and supportive community space.

Rehearsals are at 899 Dorset St. on Wednesdays at 7pm. Please email phoenix@me2music.org with questions. Hope to see you there!
