Join the Green Mountain Club as they host the Pearson family.

Four-year-old Lydia Pearson has been hiking since before she could walk, riding along in a carrier with ultrarunner mom Whitney. As soon as she could walk on her own two feet, she started summiting some of New Hampshire's highest peaks. In June 2024, she became the youngest known hiker to complete the NH48, 48 peaks above 4,000 feet. Lydia completed all the summits over 35 hikes in less than a year, with mom carrying her little sister at her side. Lydia's mom Whitney will share stories from their hikes together and tips to get little ones interested in hiking too.
