For those of you who may be missing this, it turns out the village's park was never officially named Hetty Green Park, but has been referred to as such in local lore and books and newspapers for over half a century of history in Bellows Falls. Now it has become a point of controversy, as some parties wish to change the local name and have it officially declared a veteran park. If you care at all either way, it would behoove you to attend the upcoming Bellows Falls Village trustee meeting on Tuesday, Dec 16 at 5:30PM. I understand, for some reason, the town selectboard will also be there in a joint effort.
