Hyde Park Community Circle invites you to: Think Spring! at our FREE annual event Think Spring! Puppets & Plants.

No Strings Marionette Company will perform, then we'll have a spring planting activity, a craft, games, delicious refreshments...and time to chat with friends and neighbors as we celebrate the start of spring!

No Strings Marionette Company will perform Handsome and Gretel, a scrumptious rendition of the fairy tale classic with a cast of fifteen hand-crafted, whimsical marionettes leading the journey! A poor woodcutter and his family live at the edge of a deep forest. Sister Gretel works hard, while brother Handsome believes he can breeze through on his good looks, but when a witch with poor eyesight lures the children to her candy cottage, she is blind to Handsome's charms. Will he discover his true potential in time to rescue his sister? Enjoy the show of never ending action, unexpected frolics, and a version of the story that sparkles with the notion of children learning to speak for themselves in their own voice.
