Wilmington, VT- Recovery Day is an annual advocacy celebration dedicated to honoring the power of substance use recovery and the diverse pathways individuals undertake on their recovery journeys. This year's theme, "Recovery Rooted in Community Connection", emphasizes the vital role that community support and peer connections play in successful recovery outcomes.
"Vermont's Recovery Day serves as a powerful reminder that substance use disorders, mental health needs, and co-occurring conditions respond well to evidence-based and timely interventions", said Daniel Franklin, Executive Director of VAMHAR.
The watch party event will feature personal testimonies from individuals in recovery, discussions on the strengths and challenges faced by recovery organizations offering support, and a collective visioning of a Vermont that fully embraces and supports those on their unique recovery journeys.
Voices of Hope invites you to drop by for the Recovery Day watch party on Wednesday, February 19th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Join us for a morning of celebrating, envisioning, and sharing personal stories of recovery!
Recovery Day is for everyone – from recovery supporters to people who are curious about their own recovery. Come be loud and proud – your presence is your voice – and demonstrate the fact that RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!
The event will be held at the Old Firehouse (18 Beaver Street, Wilmington.) Come for all or part of the event. The event is free and lunch will be provided.
