About the artist:
Christopher Smith is an artist living in West Rupert, Vermont. He grew up in Ridgefield, Connecticut and attended the Wooster School in Danbury, Connecticut. He is a 1990 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. There he studied painting and drawing. He spent his Junior year of college in Rome, Italy where he studied the art and architecture of Master painters and sculptors.
About his work, Smith says: "Art is unique, in that there is no textbook. It is ultimately up to the artist to determine what is right and what is wrong. There is a huge struggle there, yet the rewards are great, a lot like life itself."
