The Bobolink Project: new help for grassland birds
When: Wednesday, February 12, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Where: Monkton Town Hall Community Room, 92 Monkton Ridge

Grassland birds are declining nationwide. Come learn about Bobolinks, Eastern Meadowlarks, and Savannah Sparrows, and what you can do to help them! Mass Audubon's Grassland Bird Biologist, and Coordinator for the Bobolink Project, Hyla Howe, will tell us about the natural history of these grassland obligate songbirds and discuss changes that the Bobolink Project has made to support both farmers and birds in Vermont's hayfields. The program provides both technical and financial assistance to farmers and landowners to help them adopt bird-friendly mowing schedules.

Cohosted by the Mid-Champlain Valley Regional Conservation Partnership, and the Monkton Conservation Commission
