Hello Neighbors!

This event will be an opportunity to learn and discuss with neighbors:
1. What is Israeli apartheid?
2. Why did 301 voters petition to put Article #5 on our ballot?
3. What does it mean for Winooski to be an Apartheid-Free Community?

On Town Meeting Day, March 4th, Winooski can vote YES on Article 5 so that our community can challenge the injustice because it makes all of us safer and freer here regardless of religion or race. Winooski can vote YES against apartheid to fund life here in our communities instead of funding death overseas. In 2024 alone, the US paid $17.6 billion supporting Israel's apartheid practices and military aggression. Vermonter's share of that is $27.6 million. Imagine what could be done with that money instead to improve life for all Vermonters.
Ballot #5:
WE AFFIRM our commitment to freedom, justice, and equality for the Palestinian people and all people;
WE OPPOSE all forms of racism, bigotry, discrimination, and oppression; and
WE DECLARE ourselves and Apartheid-free community and to that end,
WE PLEDGE to join others in working to end all support to Israel's Apartheid regime, settler colonialism, and military occupation.
