The Presbyterian Church of Barnet is offering an introductory class on the Bible. It will not be a devotional Bible study, but rather an academic study of the Bible itself. It will cover the compiling, translating of the scriptures, and the historic challenges facing translators. Participants will learn more about the traits of the many and various versions we now have of the Bible in English. For those who are new to Bible study or for seasoned veterans who would like to learn more about different Bibles, this class should prove to be informative and fun.

The class will last several weeks and will be taught by Dr. Daniel W. Massie, the church's interim pastor. While the church is undergoing some renovation work, the class will be offered at the Barnet Public Library and is open to everyone in the community. The class will have its initial meeting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12 and all people are welcome regardless of differing or no religious affiliation..
