Rabbi Trek Reef, candidate for the UU ministry, offers this:

" Since 1961, Unitarian Universalists have been at the forefront of the fight for civil rights and social justice. So why is there a history of shutting down Black voices within our movement? We'll take an uncomfortable journey together to lift up the voices of Black Unitarian Universalists from 1961 to Present."

Rabbi Yaakov "Trek" Reef walks in the world as a spiritual teacher and is a regionally-recognized speaker, serving as a frequent guest in the pulpit at synagogues, churches, and meeting houses throughout the Northeast. He became a rabbi in 2013 and is now in the process of qualifying for the UU ministry. He lives in Billerica, Massachusetts and is a member of First Parish UU in Billerica.
