The Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery (VAMHAR), in collaboration with Recovery Partners of Vermont (RPV), is pleased to invite you to Recovery Day 2025, February 19th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Governors' Ballroom at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier, and at the State House in the afternoon.
Recovery Day is an annual advocacy celebration dedicated to honoring the power of substance use recovery and the diverse pathways individuals undertake on their recovery journeys. This year's theme, "Recovery Rooted in Community Connection," emphasizes the vital role that community support and peer connections play in successful recovery outcomes.
The event will feature personal testimonies from individuals in recovery, discussions on the strengths and challenges faced by organizations offering support, and a collective visioning of a Vermont that fully embraces and supports those on their unique recovery journeys. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with community leaders, policymakers, and fellow advocates to further the conversation on prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery advocacy in the state.
