Hello everyone! I'm Will Dunkley.

This Saturday afternoon at 1:00 as part of the Westford Winterfest, I'll be leading a short walk/snowshoe behind the Westford School. We will meet at the southern end of the parking lot, across from the main entrance to the school, and head into the forest to identify trees, plants, hopefully some birds, and wildlife tracks (I'm not an expert on animal tracks, be warned, but I bet some of you are!).

We'll spend an hour or an hour and a half together and I'm happy to answer any questions and discuss what's of interest to the group.

My parents moved to Westford from Richmond in 1996 and I grew up on the common in the center of town. I was blessed to be outdoors for much of my childhood and as I grew older I decided to pursue a career working outside. My dad and I began making maple syrup here in Westford in 2015. In 2019 I graduated from UVM with a degree in forestry and started a forestry business. I have spent thousands of hours working outside over the last decade, and many additional hours hunting, hiking, foraging, or walking. I love to share what I've learned and I also love to learn from others.
