Please join Good Samaritan Haven and the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub for a special screening of The Public this Friday in Montpelier.
Starring Emilio Estevez and Alec Baldwin, The Public is a story about a civil act taken by people experiencing homelessness in Cincinnati, who take over the public library to seek shelter from the bitter cold.
This screening will be followed by a meaningful community conversation about homelessness—both here in Vermont and across the country. Don't miss this opportunity to engage in an important dialogue and deepen our collective understanding of this crisis.
There will be a 15 minute pre-show discussion, 2 hour movie screening, and 45 minute post-show discussion led by Good Sam staff.
The event is open to the public by donation, with 10% of proceeds benefiting the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub and 90% Good Sam.
Date: Friday, February 7
Time: 6:00PM, doors open at 5:30PM
Location: Montpelier Performing Arts Hub, Gary Library, 35 College St, Montpelier
