The Deerfield Valley Chapter of American Holistic Nurses Association holds free monthly gatherings, open to the public , with the mission of promoting positive Health Care reform and illuminating the integration of Mind, Body, and Spiritual Wellness. ALL ARE WELCOME to come share ideas, experiences, concerns, and celebrations in tapping the profound healing within all of us, and finding better ways to care for ourselves and each other.
A.H.N.A. is a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of a WHOLE PERSON approach to Health Care that includes the Empowerment of and Support for Nurses, Patients, and Families through Community Building, Advocacy, Education, and Research.
Please join us, if you can, for February's gathering that will be in the form of a Drumming Circle. Scientific research shows that the rhythmic energy of drumming synchronizes the left and right hemispheres and integrates all the areas of the brain, releases endorphins and endogenous opiates helping with chronic pain and addictions, produces Alpha waves, boosts immunity, increases natural T cells which help the body combat cancer and other viruses, helps to relieve stress, and aligns the body and mind with the natural rhythms of Life. If not just for the health benefits, come commune and HAVE FUN!
Bring your drum if you have one. No worries if not as there will be extra drums available. For more information, contact Wendy Sergeant, DNP, Chapter Leader- 802 435 0616 or Rhondi Gleason RN (retired) Chapter Co Leader- 802 753 6755
