The 3rd Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD) meeting took place on December 1st with 30-40 eager participants joining the Community Center Task Force. We’re delighted that Lauri Boyden agreed to chair this group and to help define a path to further community involvement in the project.
At the meeting, Cambridge 360 President Phil Rogers explained 360’s developing plans for a fundraising campaign to stimulate community investment and, ultimately, ownership of the project.
The Task Force agreed to form FOUR COMMITTEES to help advance the project, as follows: BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, FUNDRAISING, MARKETING AND PUBLICITY, and PROGRAMMING.
The next COMMUNITY CENTER TASK FORCE MEETING will be Monday, January 5th at 6:30pm at the Second Congregational Church in downtown Jeffersonville.
There is still room on all the committees, so please join us by emailing Lauri Boyden at boydenevents@gmail.com. And for more information, be sure to visit our website: cambridgevtcommunitycenter.com and our Facebook page: “CambridgeVtCommunityCenter.” Thanks!
