Essex CHIPS and the MLK Day planning committee are excited to announce the Essex Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 19, 2015!

In the spirit of Dr. King’s commitment to a united community we invite you to join us for a day of volunteer service and community brunch. Together we will strengthen our support and commitment to each other and the place we live. Volunteer opportunities are placed throughout the community and available for participants of all ages, abilities, and interests.

The Day of Service is an opportunity for members of the community to give back and to get involved with local organizations. Service projects are between one and three hours in length. All community members are invited to gather for a brunch, where we will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and our community with music, food, and fun.
