Join us for an evening of reflection and new beginnings as we honor the growing light of the sun and the Celtic Christian tradition! February 1 is St. Brigid's Day, about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It marks the feast day of the female patron saint of Ireland, and is a time when people traditionally made candles to honor the light.
We'll gather under the new moon to observe the night sky, then head inside for a story and guided meditation, journaling, making and blessing beeswax candles to take home, and finish with a shared snack and time to socialize. This circle is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, Spirit, and the season.
📅 When: Wednesday, January 29, 6:30-8:00 pm
📍 Where: New Haven Congregational Church on the green
🖊️ Bring outdoor gear, a journal, and a pen or pencil.
💲 Suggested donation of $5 for materials—but please come regardless of donation!
We hope to see you there to welcome the longer light together. 🕯️
