You may have read that a developer is proposing to build condos, single family homes and apartments on the beautiful open land that surrounds Burlington College. This land overlooks Lake Champlain and is one of the last remaining large undeveloped green spaces in the heart of the city. If you have never walked there, I encourage you to go for an outing. You might see a fox or a deer run through the trees or a hawk circling overhead. You will certainly find evidence of a vibrant community of animal and plant life. You can access it from North Avenue or from the bike path. If you would like to help save this land from being covered by buildings, sewer pipes and pavement, please join us for a meeting on Monday, December 8 at 6:30 PM at Burlington College, 351 North Avenue.
