On FRIDAY, January 17, the historic Old Meeting House in East Montpelier, Vermont, will host a unique acoustic concert featuring the extraordinary Eleni Govetas and Zoe Christiansen. Eleni, raised in a family of legendary musicians, embodies the soul of Greek and Balkan traditions. Her mastery of traditional instruments and evocative vocals reflects a lifetime immersed in this rich heritage. Zoe, profoundly influenced by Eleni and her family, has been mentored in clarinet by Eleni's father, a renowned musician Greece and America. Zoe credits her playing and deep connection to Balkan music to their guidance and inspiration. Together, this duo brings an authenticity and passion to their music, blending generations of tradition with heartfelt artistry. Suggested donation at the door $15.
