Jenna's Promise is excited to host its Fourth Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 20th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Jenna's House, 117 St Johns Road, Johnson, Vermont. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s core values of service, building the "Beloved Community", and challenging stereotypes and are at the heart of this day of commemoration and service.
This free, family-friendly event blends service, fun, and creativity, honoring Dr. King's legacy of unity and giving back. Laraway Youth and Family Services and Healthy Lamoille Valley join as cohosts this year.
With schools closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, this event is the perfect opportunity for kids and families to enjoy an afternoon of fun and connection. The celebration features activities for all ages, including outdoor sledding, indoor games, arts and crafts, all to be enjoyed with a steaming cup of hot cocoa.
Leading up to the event, Jenna's Promise is hosting a food drive to benefit the Johnson Food Shelf. Community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at Jenna's House, Jenna's Coffee House, or JP's Promising Goods any day leading up to January 20th. On the day of the event, people may also drop off a donation while at the event.
