Come get cozy, sip some tea, and learn how to embrace the energetics of winter as your personal hibernation season. Winter is a time for deep rest and reflection; a season to sit with the questions in our life or tap into our innate creativity. But for many of us, the cold/dark days of winter can lead to us feeling scattered, stagnant, isolated, or sick.
In this interactive workshop you'll learn how to tap into what your body needs- whether it be more grounding and rest or more flow and movement. You will learn a variety of Ayurvedic self-care practices, routines, and rituals to boost your immunity, ground your nervous system, support better sleep, and connect more deeply with yourself.
This workshop includes:
- An introduction to Ayurveda, a 5,000 year old eastern medicine system and its approach to seasonal living.
-Explanation of the elements of winter and essential practices to stay balanced this season.
-A deep dive into Ayurvedic self-care techniques such as marma point massage, abhyanga (self lymphatic massage), nasya (nostril oiling), pranayama, and more!
-Introduction to two breathing exercises (pranayama) to energize or ground you and support healthy respiratory functioning.
-Guided journaling, planning sheets, and direct support to determine which techniques would work best for your health goals and how to realistically incorporate them into your life.
- A printed guidebook to support your learning experience. Please bring a journal and pen.
