Sunday December 14th the annual Christmas Bird Count will be taking place in the islands and surrounding communities. Groups of birders will be out from early morning searching for owls until dusk looking for as many different bird species as possible. Most of us will be driving slowly along the roads searching for the birds while others will be on foot. Please remember to keep your feeders full this week and throughout the winter to help the counters. During the winter months the birds depend on us to provide food to supplement their diet. It is a wonderful way to brighten up your yard with great rewards all winter long. Thanks you in advance for your help.
