The coziest remedy for this frigid weather: the Peacham Winter Coffeehouse returns! Nothing helps to take the edge off of winter like a library, hot beverages, cheerful friends, and great music.
The season kicks off on Saturday, January 11th at 7 PM with singer/ songwriter Jim Karns.
Jim is an award winning songwriter who has received the Nashville songwriting group Song Town's Americana/ Bluegrass Song of the Year for his song "Poor Town.". He is honored to have shared the stage with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, and the Rossington Collins Band and has had the pleasure of opening for Charlie Daniels during his tour stop in Jacksonville. In addition to playing writers rounds in Nashville, Jim is concentrating on songwriting and has publishing contracts with Sherrill Blackman and Matt Lindsey, two of Nashville's top independent music publishers.
Coffee, tea, and various tasty treats will be served.
Performances will begin at 7pm in the community room of the Peacham Library. An open mic session will follow the main act, so bring that banjo.
All performances are free, although heaps of $$$ all always appreciated to support the performers and the library.
