The Vermont Arts Exchange (VAE) presents, "Piano at Powers", jazz & contemporary tunes by Justin St. Clair Sunday, January 12th 1-3pm at Power's Market in the Village of North Bennington, Vermont.
Drop in for this free show and warm up with an afternoon coffee, latte, espresso, tea or hot soup. Homemade sandwiches and salads available from the kitchen too! Justin, hailing from North Bennington and a MAUHS grad., is currently a senior at the University of Rhode Island (URI) studying jazz piano and to become a music therapist.
Recently he has studied with piano from great mentors Zaccai Curtis and Andrew Wilcox. Justin has performed in some major ensembles and has played with the Dave Zino's Standards Ensemble, Zaccai Curtis' Afro-Cuban and Latin Ensemble, and the URI Jazz Big Band lead by Dr. Emmet Goods. He has had the opportunity over the past years to study with Bennington's Matt Edwards and join in with jazz friends, Dave Cuite, Jeff McRae and local favorite band, Beard and Glasses. The most notable performance for Justin was when he played with the URI Rams Band this past summer at the 2024 Newport Jazz Festival. VAE is happy to present Justin as part of their emerging artists program. For more info, call 802-379-3763 or go to www.vtartxchange.org.
