This is a reminder that the Ward 1 NPA will get together Wednesday January 8 at 6:30 (come earlier for food!) at the Friends Meeting House 173 North Prospect Street. Come and meet with your neighbors, and come meet Shawny Corey, CEDO's new liaison to the NPAs!

We will of course start with Speakout and Announcements, and we hope any candidates for East District City Council and School Commission will come and introduce themselves to the community. We plan to hold a candidate forum at our February meeting.
We'll move to our elected officials, Gary and Carter, for School and Council reports. We anticipate hearing about budget planning and other important issues facing us with the new year.
This month we will hear from Anna Wageling, BPD Community Support Liaison and Hannah Brislin at the Community Justice Center with an update on community safety and community justice services in Burlington. Also, Ashley Parker and CAO Katherine Schad will review the $20M General Obligation bond item that will appear on the March ballot. It sounds like Megan Moir might bring water bond updates.
