The Green Mountain Club's annual winter Outdoor Adventure Speaker Series is back bringing adventure, education, and inspiration to you! Join us for one or all of this year's exciting speaker lineups, and be inspired by advocates, athletes, scientists, wanderers, and more.
The speaker series kicks off with "The Triple Tiara: Thru-hiking the Long Trail, Colorado Trail, & Nüümü Poyo (John Muir Trail)" on Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m. in the Meeting Hall of club headquarters in Waterbury Center. The Triple Tiara is the younger sibling of thru-hiking's Triple Crown, made up of three shorter thru-hikes that are each part of one of the Triple Crown trails. Aubri Drake, thru-hiker, ultrarunner, and LGBTQ+ advocate, completed the Triple Tiara this summer! Join Aubri as they share stories and photos from their memorable thru-hikes, and a taste of the joys and challenges that await you on these three exceptional trails.
GMC also invites you to have a sneak peek of the new Rothberg-Birdwhistell Visitor Center before the event. Doors open at 6:30. Check out the new building, mingle with other hikers, and enjoy light refreshments.
