Please join the Marlboro Energy Committee on Sunday, January 12th to hear from Elizabeth Forsyth, Earth Justice's Senior Attorney for the Biodiversity Defense Program. She has generously agreed to come speak with us about how we, as residents of a small, rural community can continue to show up for climate change work at this moment in time. You are welcome to join us in person at The Marlboro Community Center at 4pm on Sunday January 12th to join a zoom call with her, but folks are welcome to join via zoom from the comfort of their own homes as well. We will use the following zoom link for the meeting: http:/www.zoom.us/j/6037814304
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit public interest environmental law organization. They wield the power of law and strength of partnership to protect people's health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change.
Prior to joining Earthjustice, our guest, Elizabeth Forsyth, was a litigation fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council and clerked for the Honorable Thomas S. Zilly in the Western District of Washington. She has a law degree from Harvard, where she was a Managing Editor of the Harvard Environmental Law Review, and an undergraduate degree in environmental science from Brown. Prior to law school, she worked at the Environmental Protection Agency Region IX on issues related to solid waste and recycling on tribal land.
