RAFT will be hosting its last meeting of 2024 tonight, in person at the Huntington Church Annex and online. Our main agenda is applying for a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation.

In the New Year, RAFT will be meeting on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Huntington Church Annex and online. If you are interested in learning more about our long term flood recovery group (LTRG), please join us!

Here are our goals:

Support for Flood-Impacted Residents:
Assist with debris removal, insulation, mold remediation, and securing funding for future
recovery projects.

Preparedness and Education:
Help homeowners and communities prepare for future floods through education, practical steps, and building neighborhood connections.

Community Empowerment and Coordination:
Train neighbors as disaster case managers, act as liaisons between residents and other organizations, and foster local support networks.
