The Upper Valley Community Band (UVCB) invites the community to an unforgettable evening of live music on January 12th, 2025 at 3PM, hosted at the Lebanon Opera House. This concert will feature a dynamic and eclectic program that showcases the band's versatility and artistry.
The performance includes William Walton's regal Crown Imperial, James Reese Europe's lively Castle Walk, and W.C. Handy's soulful St. Louis Blues. Audiences will also experience the modern introspection of Jodie Blackshaw's Peace Dancer, the multifaceted brilliance of Vincent Persichetti's Divertimento, and the tender charm of Arthur Pryor's Thoughts of Love. Adding to the excitement are John Philip Sousa's spirited march Manhattan Beach and Dizzy Gillespie's jazz masterpiece A Night in Tunisia.
We're thrilled to present a program that spans such a wide range of styles and eras. This concert offers something for everyone, from classical and ragtime to jazz and modern compositions.
Admission is free, but donations are recommended and greatly appreciated. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the power and joy of live music!
