Local real-deal bluegrass band, The VT BLUEGRASS PIONEERS, will be making a return appearance at Hugo's, 44 Main St. (upstairs), Montpelier this Sat Dec 14th from 7:30 - 9:30.
When the Pioneers appeared at Hugo's almost a year ago, they were only a trio as bass player Sam Blagden was not able to make the show. But this time it's the full quartet featuring Banjo Dan Lindner, former leader of Banjo Dan & the Mid-Nite Plowboys, one of Vermont's premier bluegrass bands from 1972-2012, on banjo, guitar & vocs; Dan's brother and former Plowboy stalwart, Willy Lindner, on mandolin/vocals; Danny Coane, Montpelier native and long-time member for several notable Vermont bands, on guitar, banjo & vocs and Sam Blagden, also a former Plowboy back in the 70's, on bass/vocals. Good food and drink at Hugo's. No cover. The Pioneers hope for a good turnout for this show. See ya then!
