The Bread and Puppet Theater presents "The Christmas Story" a show created by Peter Schumann in 1962 at a residency in Putney Vermont and performed every year at Christmas time until the mid 1980's. The puppeteers are reviving and updating the show to reflect the current political situation. A hand puppet angel, a donkey of burlap and plywood, a monstrous King Herod, a surprise Nativity scene: all make this show a holiday event not to be missed! $15 suggested donation at the door, a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Hardwick Area Food Pantry.
