On Saturday, December 13 from 10 AM - Noon, the Waterbury Public Library will hold a special Rustic Willow Holiday Decorations workshop led by Susie J. Gray, "The Willow Weaving Woman" from Growing Health by Design.
In this workshop, you will create and embellish rustic willow holiday decorations. A selection of embellishments will be provided but feel free to bring along your own special ribbons, bells and baubles to add. Helpful tools to bring if you have them: a pair of light gardening gloves and secateurs.
Susie spends her time designing edible landscapes and weaving willow; doing graphic design and illustration; painting; various fiber crafts and writing. She is devoted to everything old-fashioned. She has recently returned from her second internship in England working alongside a traditional woodland craftsman and is eager to share all she has learned about the wonderful world of willow weaving.
Space for this workshop is VERY limited, so please call the library to register at 244-7036. The workshop is free with all materials included. Please note that it will take place upstairs in the Library. TEENS THROUGH ADULTS ONLY, PLEASE.
