Hello, neighbors! I want to invite you all to visit the VNRC office (11 Baldwin Street, right down the block from the State House) during Art Walk this Friday night for some great art, free food, and amazing prizes. We'll be hosting a reception for photographer (and fellow Montpelier resident) Paul Richardson to celebrate the opening of his exhibit, "World Wide Wend", on display at our office through January. VNRC has been rotating quarterly exhibits since April 2022, and we're excited to mark our 15th appearance on the Art Walk circuit with Paul's work.

Paul will be onsite to talk about his photography – both the inspiration behind his work and the techniques he uses to capture the beauty around us. As he writes, "I love rambling around Vermont, in all kinds of weather, trying to create wall-worthy images. For this exhibit, I decided to respond to the high-velocity, vertical images that have ensnared us and our devices by presenting images of our world as a wider, slower place."

In addition to the photos in the exhibit, Paul will be showing a slideshow of images from his long career behind the camera, and also plans to bring prints and notecards for purchase (with all proceeds going to the artist). Anyone who swings by to check out the work will also be entered into a raffle to win a $100.00 gift certificate to Vermont Flannel or a free print of their choosing! If you haven't made it out to our stop on the Art Walk yet - we're venue #21 in December - Friday is as good a time as any.

Doors will be open to the public from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Light refreshments, including homemade baked goods, will be served while supplies last, so make us your first stop!
