Northsong, a 42-member choir based in Newport, will present its annual Christmas concerts December 6 and 8 at the United Church of Newport, continuing a tradition that has marked the start of the holiday season for four decades.

The program features John Rutter's "Magnificat," and will also perform seasonal carols including "I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In," "People Look East," and "Jingle Bells."

Performances are scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. A $5 donation is suggested for admission.
