Open community meeting to learn about and help birth a new intentional residential community in Montpelier

Where: Access Cafe (former Rabble Rouser location) 64 Main St. Montpelier.
When: Friday 12/13 5-7 pm

Do you dream of deeper community - an inclusive home and land where you can play and do life with fellow artists, dancers and creative people? Where we share gardening and we share meals and maybe we even share cars or other expenses sometimes? Where we are open to experimenting and having a living lab around issues of priveledge, power, freedom of expression and more? With space where you and others can host community workshops and gatherings and dance parties? Where we recognize the sacredness of life and celebrate it together? A home that is walking distance to downtown while still having privacy and nature? A place where all of you is not just tolerated but celebrated! A place that's flexible where you can stay for years or just months?

I dream of that too, and for the last 30 years I have been farming in Vermont and supporting healthy communities namely by building a community focused business (High Mowing Organic Seeds) and a non-profit (Center for an Agricultural Economy/Food Venture Center). I am ready to pour that experience and enthusiasm into an intentional community in Montpelier. Community health, shared power, authentic expression and creatively reinventing systems have always been at the core of my work and I've got a lot more learning to do.

For about two years I have been quietly exploring properties, visiting other intentional communities and researching possibilities with some great help and support from others. Some elements of this project are already figured out but many are not yet. Think of it as a cake that is about 50% done and I am looking for a few more dedicated bakers as well as eventually lots of eaters! Things are at an early stage but are quickly becoming more concrete. A residential community of 15-20 here in Montpelier for celebrating and sharing our radical aliveness is possible!

Come join us at Access on 12/13 where we will play some authentic relating games, share more about how to get involved at different levels, discuss opportunities to join the core group and how to apply to be a future resident. I am also excited to talk about some of the core values that myself and others have been inspired by:
