The Deborah Rawson Book Lovers discussion group is reading "The Known World" by Edward P. Jones for their Tuesday, Dec. 10, meeting. The historical novel, set in antebellum Virginia, focuses on the unusual phenomenon of black enslavers. It was recently voted the best work of fiction by an American writer in the 21st century. It also won the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Call or visit the library to reserve the book.
