Fairfield Talk on Palestine

Past event
Dec 3, 2024, 6:30 to 8 PM

Are you disturbed by the suffering in Palestine but don't know what to do? Worried about the lack of housing and necessary human services in Vermont and don't know what to do? Did you know some of our tax dollars support Israel?

Come to an interactive discussion with Fairfax resident Hamed Bakir, an international public health expert, who was born and grew up in Palestine.
- Explore and discuss what's happening in Palestine: occupation, apartheid, genocide
- What is apartheid?
- How being anti-apartheid doesn't mean being anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian.
- What is the connection between Israel's war and Vermont?
- What can you do? What is the Apartheid-Free Community Pledge?

Where: Bent Northrop Memorial Library, Community Room, Fairfield
