Registration is Now Open for the 2024 UVM Extension Master Gardener Conference, scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET
The theme this year is "Gardening with Nature in Mind" and will feature national columnist and author Nancy Lawson who founded The Humane Gardener as a way to elevate the importance of gardening with all creatures in mind. Lawson says, "Whether you're trying to resolve conflicts with wildlife or immersed in efforts to save local fauna, you'll be more successful if you let plants lead the way." The conference will also include talks on mindfulness in the garden, natural lawn care, and landscaping with natives.
