Vt Stage Winter Tales Dec. 10 - 14

Past event
Dec 10, 2014, 7:30 to 10 PM

Have you heard of Winter Tales? During dark days of winter Vermont Stage (downstairs from Flynn Space) lightens hearts with its annual storytelling event. Spend a wonderful evening by candlelight, listening to stories and enjoying cookies and hot cider. This year's Winter Tales features brand new stories from award winner writers, including novelist and Vermont State Senate Majority Leader Philip Baruth (Burlington, VT), 10-time New York Times Bestselling author Chris Bohjalian (Lincoln, VT), acclaimed journalist and author Stephen Kiernan (Charlotte, VT), and Emmy-winning journalist and former Vermont resident Lauren Ober (Washington D.C.). The stories will be performed by a talented cast of local storytellers, Cristina Alicea (Winooski), Andrew Butterfield (Burlington), Paul Schnabel (Burlington), and Paul Ugalde (South Burlington) and will be interspersed with seasonally inspired poetry from students at Young Writers Project and original Vermont folk songs from musicians Patti Casey and Pete Sutherland. My favorite night is the Gala, this year on Sunday December 14th- an evening with hors d'ouerves, holiday toasts, and a huge silent auction filled with gifts for yourself or for someone on your list...so come listen to heartwarming stories, have a cozy evening..and maybe finish up that Christmas shopping.

Performances run Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30pm; Saturday and Sunday at 2pm with tickets starting at $32. Single tickets can be purchased by calling the FlynnTix Regional Box Office 802-863-5966 or by visiting www.vtstage.org. Hope to see you there!!
